GIULIA OTTAVIANO was born in 1987 in Cittadella, near Padua, and grew up between Rome, Catania and Milan. She worked in London in a call center and in a literary agency. Then she moved in Turin to attend the Scuola Holden writing and storytelling courses. In 2009 she was selected for the "Prove d'Autore" at Esor-dire, a literary competition for new writers, and entered "Documentary in Europe" with a work about men and synchronized swimming. Finally she came back to Milan, where she lives (at least by now) and studies Literature at the University. Love Will Tear You Apart, out on 17th July, is her first novel.
